1940 Inidan Chief Bobber

Lindsay Campbell from Nova Scotia sent me pictures of his super-cool
1940 Inidian Chief swapmeet bobber. I love the mixture of bits on this bike, giving it a
kind of hillclimber-cum-chopper look. Lindsay sent me some other great pictures of
his friends' flatties, and says:

"John in Laconia built the engine (great job!!). It took 5 years to round up enough parts to make this happen.
60s triumph front and rear fenders, $5 lucus taillight, old ratty muffer from the junk bin,
about $50 worth of swap meet rubber 16 on the rear and a 4.10 x 18 on the front.
Harley 18" sporty rim and spokes laced on the front, Indian military chainguard, homemade fender braces.

Stock motor (50 over, m-88 45 carb with indian nozzle and venturi), 6v system with locally built generator.
It all started with a rusty pile of parts from a guy's wet basement and 6 months to talk him into letting me
pay him too much money for his junk – gotta love it!

All the bearings, chains and spockets are new and it has a king clutch and
a cheap ass 6 volt battery. It sports white dice if you look real careful (battery rear fender and wheels)."
