Bill Mize's '55 Panhead
As soon as I see I've
got an email from Bill I know I'm in for a treat.
Check out his amazing Sportsters in the 'Choppers archive'.
Here's his latest project, a '55 Panhead.
Bill says: "This
55 was found as a running basket in a Kansas basement. It is all 1955 including
frame,
motor and trans, VL springer, Wassel fuel tank, English fender, aluminium
rims,
18" rear 21" front, 4" rear tire, 2.75"front tire, front hub xr 750 spool,
stock Linkert carb
with Roth/ Cycle Engineering deflector. Paint is by Brent Elsen.
I also need to thank my lovely
wife Mollie, Steve Uhl for endless inspiration: "just ride your bike".
You know, he is right about that! Dan White, Rod Reisdorph and crew at hydraulic
sales and services,
Chris Broders, Bill B. at fimco, Steve Buchanan.
As I have sold all of my other xlch choppers the 55 sees a lot of use."
