Mike's bikes

What I like about maintaining this webpage is getting to correspond with owners of bikes I have admired for years.

I saw Mike Bennett from the USA's super-cool 1939 80" flattie in Iron Horse magazine years ago (see 3rd pic), and when I got the chance to grill Mike about
some of the other rides he's built over the years, he provided the pictures below. Check 'em out: a '72 FLH with struts, skull tank shift and 18" front wheel,
more kool Pans than one man deserves to own, and a righteous EVO chopper! Not to mention a flat black '35 Ford. Respect due!

Mike says: "Yo, I really enjoy your site – and was shocked to see my flathead in your "wish list".
Here are a couple shots of some bikes I've had since: a '72 FLH and a EVO chopper. I know a EVO is a long way
from a '39 Flathead 80, and I regret sending it down the road, but the proceeds got me going on my '35 Ford roadster project.

The other pictures are of Davidsons I've owned through the years when it was affordable to buy basket cases, build 'em, ride 'em then sell 'em and start over.
I grew up on mid-seventies Easyriders, Supercycle, and Iron Horse mags, so my head has been stuck in that ridgid frame/springer/apehanger deal
for over twenty years. Got a hankerin' for another old bike so the Evo will be on the block – I have to admit disc brakes, Evo power, 6 speeds
and that new springer has a lot going for it, but, time for a change. I'm sure you know, looks as though you enjoy to have a varitiy of bikes and styles."
