Hemsby 2000 weekender

Hey, the sun shone all weekend, there was some great rodding action on the beach, lotsa kool scoots
and some excellent music. My Shovel chopper wasn't ready for the run, so I rode down on my Hinckley Trident.
UK band The Playboys sadly played their last gig, and we all had fun. I even managed to stay out of the bars
long enough this year to take some photos (be patient while they load!).

Kid Rocker puts his rod through its paces. Sadly it stalled out pretty quickly. "Dad ...!"
Pat checks out the action on the beach. "Would you care to take a look at my rod?"
56 Chevy lost its hubcaps then had to be towed back to port. Good show, though.
The nicest rod there: it kept moving around but we never worked out how. Pretzel power?
The best bikes there all belong to the "Wild Rockers" from France. All one-kick bikes. Here's their mad flattie with all the doodads. Below is their hand-shift Pan with bizarre fairing and racing-type bars.
Two views of very nice Pan chopper ... another "Wild Rockers" bike.
Above, tasty cone Shovel choppa. Below is another of the "Wild Rockers"' Pans
... hand-shiftin'!!
This Triumph chop, above, was super-clean and very nicely put together.
Ariel bob-job, anyone?
