Issue 13… order now!.

Yep, new logo… but same crackin’ quality. Quality bikes, quality writing, quality photography.

Issue 13’s cover star is Mark Blanchette and his ‘66 Bonnie chopper… a tribute to marijuana! We also bring you no less than four panheads… Nobu’s ‘52 chopper from Tokyo, Brian Harlow’s ‘Minnow’ from the good ol’ USA, Ollie’s beefed-up-bobber from Belgium, and Paul’s period-perfect custom from SoCal.

What else? We talk to Simo who owns a brace of Indians and a VL Harley and ask him which he loves more… we talk to TXDennis about another of his survivor customs, this time a ‘55 T110 built in ‘67 and amazingly unmolested since then. You’ll also get to meet Dr Who… nah, not that one… Clay’s ‘62 Thunderbird; you’ll get a look at Kevin ‘Teach’ Baas’s krusty Knuck; and we also bring you great show coverage from Sweden (choppers) and Scotland (the world’s biggest Indian meet).

Cor… what a treat, eh? And of course, Irish Rich is here again with his super-cool column…

Get ‘em while they’re hot.

The daily GK grind.

Did you know we have a BLOG?

If you want to follow the daily minutiae of my life… what I’m thinking, looking at, building, reading, saying to the wife, throwing at the dog, taking to the dump, hanging on the wall, shooting for the mag, retrieving from my son’s mouth, and buying on eBay, then you need to bookmark http://greasykulture.blogspot.com

GK blog

Issue 12… and t-shirts! You lucky people..

Issue 12 is here, and riding right alongside it is a whole posse of GK tees, with a design to suit every badass on a sickle.

John Edwards graces the new issue’s cover, with his re-styled Pan, and the story of why he made the changes and where he picked up his impeccable influences. There’s also Nate’s ‘Ice Queen’ FL, another standout chopper from the past year, as well as two of the nicest Triumph choppers we’ve seen in a while, one from the States (Andrew Lindloff), one from Oz (Bart Verducci).

What else? An E-type-Jag-powered trad dragster (yes, really), a profile of ace lensman Josh Kurpius; a look round Benny’s Boneshaker Choppers; a talk to Rowan Manners who was chopping back in the 70s when I was still watching Dr Who; Hajime’s ultra-cool FL from Tokyo; a shovel and an ironhead owned and built by two friends from South Wales…. and first coverage of the great Born-Free show, with photos by the equally great Scott Pommier.

Check it all out on the ‘BUY’ pages.

This is a cracking issue, with Irish Rich discussing the origins of Metalflake, Mike D’s ‘54 T-bird cover bike, a super-original Knucklehead and a 70s survivor Panhead from France, a cool FL chopper from Japan, a crazy 45 with K-model heads, two stonkin’ Evo Sporty choppers, a 70s-era Pan straight from the freezer (with spliff-smoking skull on the tank!), Pete Stansfield’s ex-UK Triumph showbike, a Hydra-Knuck built by Jeff Baer and even a look at the UK’s great Hotrod Hayride weekend…

Can we get any better?

OK… not for sale yet (back from the printer in a few days), but check out the great new cover of Mike D on his ‘54 pre-unit, airing that front wheel. Photo by Mark at Joyrides Art Co.

Can’t wait… can you?

Independence Day Weekend, Jesolo, Italy.

I got out and about in Jesolo, near Venice, last weekend, meeting (finally) some heroes of mine and some guys I’d wanted to talk to for a long time, from all over the world. Alberto of Sinners Europe made everyone feel very welcome … but for some reason GK wasn’t given a stand at the show (strange as we were invited guests), so after lugging a suitcase full of mags & stickers across the continent, I just ended up leaving ‘em in the car!

Never mind, I was never any good at trying to act the businessman, so I resorted to what I do best: drinking! Apologies to all who came expecting to see me representing … look me up next time, next country! And thanks to Roger and Illeana for showing me a great time.
